There are a couple things I see in my work that are influenced by Siskind's work. I made sure my pictures had contrast, just like Siskind's pictures. I also paid close attention to detail by making sure viewers could see the texture of my photos as if they could reach towards the screen and feel the picture. Siskin displays a lot of texture in his work also. Both Siskind and I use monochrome to express and emphasize the darks and lights of our photos. I attempted to display a form of depth where the viewer could see layers and would want to go to the place that picture was taken and explore more. I believe both Siskind and I have displayed that in our photos. Overall, I believe my work is a good representation of Siskind's work and visually artistic ideas.
I'm really pleased with the images and composition you selected - in particular the 3rd, 4th and 5th ones. would you send those to me in a higher resolution? Do you think you can get the contrast to be more evident in the first two? I'd love to see if those could be a bit stronger. Thank you!
